REIKI
Reiki is a form of energetic healing, developed during the early 20th century in Japan as a gentle and effective way to reduce stress and restore balance to the body. Reiki translates to “universal life energy,” and when directed in and around the body, has a powerful harmonizing effect, clearing blocks and stagnancy, while creating a deep state of relaxation from which self-healing may begin.
During a treatment the practitioner will lightly place the hands on or above the patient, channeling the Reiki energy to areas of the body where healing is needed. Reiki can be used to alleviate a variety of conditions, and works on all levels of the receiver: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Treatments can greatly assist in reducing stress, pain and anxiety, help improve sleep and digestion, and invite in a greater sense of ease, stability, and peace.
A Reiki treatment runs one hour for full benefit, but shorter treatments can be added onto yoga or sound healing sessions to enhance relaxation and promote healing. Thirty minute, as well as hour long remote sessions are also available. I have been practicing Reiki for 9 years, am attuned at the Reiki Master Level, and am continually amazed at the profound and immediate healing power of the Reiki energy.
